Rubber Side Down is a series of photographs shot from the handle-bars of my bike across London during my commute to work. What started out as a need to get from A to B and a will to keep on photographing became a want to understand this unique pocket of culture and document the ever-changing landscape of modern day London. Through my bikes-eye-view I began to amass a diary of my daily commutes as I crossed London to and from work. Through these photographs I found a love for the people and places that I encountered that had before appeared to me to be completely mundane. These characters, like actors fulfilling their roles in a film, adopted traits that I endeavoured to capture, come rain or shine.
